BENCH UNCUT 2010

The BENCH UNCUT fashion show held last Friday evening July 2nd at the Araneta Coliseum was a HIT! But a lot of people observed that it wasnt really the BEST of the series of Bench shows. This year was a so-so extravaganza in terms of feedbacks from the audience who watched the show. There were a lot of stars who paraded on the ramp, but only a handful were applauded well. Most of the stars were hardly noticed by the crowd, or were simply ignored. Among the stand-outs who got the most applause were WENDELL RAMOS, and JAKE CUENCA, who showed their "butts", KATRINA HALILI, who was warmly applauded, GERALD ANDERSON, POKWANG, COCO MARTIN, and DINGDONG DANTES, who opened the show. Other stars who paraded were: KIM CHUI, SHAINA MAGDAYAO, CARLA ABELLANA, ALJUR ABRENICA, KRIS BERNAL, ROCCO NACINO, ENZO PINEDA, SARAH LAHBATI, JC DE VBRA, GEOFF TAYLOR, FRANCESCA FARR, RAFAEL ROSSELL, JAY R, JOHN HALL, GEORGINA WILSON, JOHN PRATTS, IWA MOTO, ZANJOE MARRUDO, IYA VILLANIA,ALEX CASTRO, and many more.

DANIEL MATSUNAGA

One of the hottest model-actors in town these days is Brazilian-born DANIEL MATSUNAGA, who is being built up by GMA Kapuso network. He was last seen in "The Last Prince" and has just appeared in the movie "D'Survivors." He is presently appearing in the Love Bug. And some years back, he was photographed in the nude back in his hometown, and his photos were very revealing. He was almost totally naked.

GMA Kapuso Celebrates 60 YEARS!

GMA Channel 7 recently celebrated their 60th Anniversary in a lavish, spectacular presentation at the Araneta Coliseum. GMA Kapuso's biggest stars participated and although not everyone were in attendance, quite a number of their Kapuso talents graced the event. A Single Man

"A Single Man" is a heartwarming story about a gay man who just lost his partner in a tragic car accident, and revolves around his coping up with the loss of his partner, until he gets to meet a young student of his, who helps him out to move on with his life.
Outstanding performances by COLIN FIRTH as the gay man, JULIANNE MOORE as Colin's friend, MATTHEW GOODE as Colin's partner and dashing and gorgeous NICHOLAS HOULT who plays his student. This is a film done by designer TOM FORD.

ELECTION 2010

We are back after having been indisposed (again) for quite a while. The Filipino people have exercised their rights to vote, and we have chosen our next leader. May 10, 2010 was a historical event in our lives since it was our first time to vote using an automated machine, which helped a lot, inspite of some numerous problems encountered, giving us the results in such a short a time. I, myself, had the horrifying experience of having voted at the Xavier School gymnasium in Greenhills, and it took me roughly 4 hours to be able to cast my vote. There were several factors why it took that long - the automated machine broke down for several hours, the verification of the precinct lists, voter's documents, took some time individually, the line was too long, and generally, there were quite a number of voters, i would say, much more than the last recorded elections. Add to those factors the unbearable heat. It's a good thing most everyone brought with them their mineral water. But generally, it was worth it. The feeling is surreal having exercised your right to vote as a Filipino.
As of this writing, NOYNOY AQUINO was leading in the presidential race, with ERAP ESTRADA trailing behind, followed by MANNY VILLAR, and GIBO TEODORO. The other presidentiables were Bro EDDIE VILLANUEVA, DICK GORDON, NICANOR PERLAS, JAMBY MADRIGAL and DE LOS REYES (I forgot his first name). JEJOMAR BINAY was leading in the vice-presidential race, followed quite closely by MAR ROXAS. Other candidates were EDU MANZANO, BAYANI FERNANDO, LOREN LEGARDA.
In the Senatorial slate, the top 12 so far are: BONG REVILLA, JINGGOY ESTRADA, MIRIAM DEFENSOR SANTIAGO, FRANKLIN DRILON, JOHNNY PONCE ENRILE, PIA CAYETANO, BONGBONG MARCOS, RALPH RECTO, LITO LAPID, SERG OSMENA, TOOTSIE GUINGONA, TITO SOTTO.
Trailing behind are RISA HONTIVEROS, JOEY DE VENECIA, BIAZON, SONIA ROCO, GILBERT REMULLA.
As early as the following day, right after the elections, quite a number were already proclaimed as winners, among them are HERBERT BAUTISTA and JOY BELMONTE - Mayor and Vice Mayor of QC, JUNJUN BINAY - Mayor of Makati, GUIA ESTRADA - Mayor of San Juan, JV EJERCITO - Congressman of San Juan, ALFREDO LIM and ISHKO MORENO - Mayor and Vice Mayor of Manila, SHERWIN GATCHALIAN - Mayor of Valenzuela.
Other big winners are - VILMA SANTOS, LUCY TORRES GOMEZ, CHRISTOPHER DE LEON, ALFRED VARGAS, RHODERICK PAULATE, ER EJERCITO, DANIEL FERNANDO, MANNY PACQUIAO, PRECIOUS HIPOLITO, DAN FERNANDEZ, LANI MERCADO, IMELDA MARCOS, IMEE MARCOS.

Let's Talk SHOWBIZ!!

Hi fellow bloggers!! The Holy week vacation has ended, and we're back in circulation!
Let's talk showbiz once again, and it seems that there is no stopping of talents moving to different networks. GMA KAPUSO channel has been accepting talents from the KAPAMILYA network for the past several months. From BAYANI AGBAYANI, JOROSS GAMBOA, CARLO GUEVARRA, CLAUDINE BARRETTO, MARK BAUTISTA, and now... singer RACHEL ANN GO has just signed up with the Kapuso network. And next in line, although unconfirmed yet, is singer-host-actress IYA VILLANIA.
Rachel will be part of the new sunday musical-variety show 'Party Pilipinas', along with New Kapuso Mark BAutista. Iya, on the other hand, wont be having any problems since she was originally from the Kapuso channel, and her better half DREW ARELLANO is a Kapuso talent.
Meanwhile, over at TV-5- the "KAPATID" channel, more and more talents are also moving to Channel 5. Both Kapamilya and Kapuso talents.
